Industry Data

Housing constructed off-site, also called Industrialized Housing, is nothing new in America. In fact, over 92% of all homes built today
are constructed with at least some factory built components such as prefabricated roof trusses, walls, and doors. And over 55% of those
homes are classified as either panelized or modular whereby the majority of the home is built off-site in a factory.

Panelized and Modular housing are closely related because most modular homes are first built as individual panels or components and
then those panels/components are put together into modules. The modules are then shipped from the factory to the building site where
they are further assembled into a complete house. The graphs below show the growth and market share of panelized and modular housing in America.
